"Pretty confusing if you're a beginner"
I really wanted to get into proko, but a lot of the lessons are just hard to follow. The instructor definitely knows what they’re talking about, but it feels like everyone teaches art like you already know half the stuff, which is frustrating. Some steps go by too fast or don’t get explained in a super simple way, so I kept rewinding the same parts and still ended up confused. I’m sure it’s probably fine for people who already have some experience, but for beginners it feels like these courses always assume too much

"Talented artists, but the teaching didn’t fully click for me"
The instructors are obviously really good at drawing, and you can tell they know their stuff. But as someone who’s still building confidence and needs things broken down clearly, I sometimes felt like I was watching them show off their skills more than being guided through the process.
A few lessons moved a little too fast for me, and the explanations seemed to assume I already understood certain basics. For the price, I was hoping for more step-by-step help and clearer direction. It wasn’t a bad experience, just not the best fit for how I learn

"The community is what makes Proko worth it…"
The community is what makes Proko worth it for me. I know some people might assume art spaces are intimidating or full of people acting like they’re above beginners, but that really hasn’t been my experience here. Whenever I get stuck, people actually take the time to answer and explain things in a way that makes sense. I’ve asked basic questions and never felt judged for it. I’ve also gotten some really useful feedback on my drawings, and it genuinely helped me improve. So yeah, I’m happy with it.

"I’ve had a good experience…"
I’ve had a good experience using Proko so far. The site is generally easy to navigate, and the videos load smoothly for me, which I definitely appreciate. I also like how the lessons are organized overall. To be fair, though, some of the menus can feel a bit crowded, and it sometimes takes me a minute to find exactly what I’m looking for. Still, it’s a solid site and I think it does most things well.

"Canceling was easier than I expected"
I wasn’t exactly looking forward to canceling, but I have to admit it was straightforward. I found the option quickly and didn’t have to jump through any hoops, so that was a relief.
"Lots of courses, though I’m still testing the quality"
I’ve been poking around proko and there’s a lot in one place. They’ve got figure drawing, anatomy, painting, cartoons, and even some stuff about the business side of art. I started with one course and then kept spotting other ones I kind of want to try. I do wonder a bit if all the courses are going to be equally solid, since there’s so much on there, but I like that it’s not locked into just one style. It’s useful if you’re still figuring out what area of art you actually want to focus on.
"I liked that most of the lessons..."
I liked that most of the lessons had the downloadable files right there and ready to use, which made things a lot easier. A couple of links took me a minute to track down, but it wasn’t a big deal overall. Good experience.

"The practice exercises made a big difference"
The exercises made drawing practice feel a lot less confusing and way more manageable. I realized some of the frustration I had before was totally preventable—I just needed clearer steps to follow...

"Finally, a Drawing Course That Doesn’t Feel Chaotic"
I really like how Proko sets up their courses. Everything actually follows a sensible order, which is such a relief because I’m so tired of art lessons that just throw random topics at you and expect you to magically connect the dots. The videos are short, the sections are clear, and the assignments make it obvious what I’m supposed to practice next. It just makes learning to draw feel way less messy and overwhelming

"Fast Response, Hoping They Make It Right"
They got back to me quickly and were able to fix the issue, which I appreciate. That said, the problem was still a hassle to deal with, so I’m hoping they’ll offer some kind of compensation for the inconvenience.

"The lessons themselves were good, but once..."
The lessons themselves were good, but once again I felt like there wasn’t much motivation or accountability built in. I keep running into the same issue where I start off hopeful, then end up feeling like I’m mostly on my own. Just wish there was more of a push to stay on track.

"Decent courses, but not sure worth it"
The courses are okay, I guess, and some parts were helpful. But for what I paid, I kind of expected more than what was there. A few of the videos felt basic, like something I had already seen before, so I didn't really feel like I got enough value for the money

I thought the refund process might be a hassle, actually no, it ended up being really simple. I got my money back quickly and they didn’t ask any weird or unnecessary questions.

"My first impression of Proko was that it..."
My first impression of Proko was that it felt really approachable, and that’s what kept me using it. I don’t feel pressured to keep up with a class schedule, so I can do a bunch of lessons when I have time or just one when I’m busy. I also like being able to rewatch videos whenever something doesn’t stick the first time. It just fits into my week way better than a regular class would.

"Nice that coming back anytime is an option"
I bought a few Proko courses, and the lifetime access is for me the best part. Every week I don’t always have time to draw, so not having to worry about lessons disappearing is really nice. I can stop for a while, come back later, and rewatch things when I’ve forgotten them, which happens more than I’d like. Happy with it overall.
"Helped My Sketches Loosen Up"
I wasn’t totally sure at first, but... Proko actually helped me finally get a better feel for anatomy and gesture. My sketches look way less stiff now, and I’m really happy with the progress

I thought the content was just okay at first—actually, no, it’s great. It’s easy to follow and exactly what I was hoping for.

"Good lessons, same old style stuff"
The lessons are solid, I’ll give it that. But the style options? Yeah, that whole lineup feels samey after a bit. Wish there was more variety.

"I had a hard time staying..."
I had a hard time staying interested because the lessons felt slow and didn’t really pull me in. I found myself zoning out a lot, which seems preventable with a faster pace or more interactive examples.

"Great drawing lessons, just a bit long sometimes"
I’ve been using Proko mainly for drawing videos, it’s been really solid for me. I like that the camera angles are clear, the sound doesn’t get in the way, and the demos are easy for me to follow without feeling too scripted or stiff. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that a few videos felt a little over-edited or longer than what I personally needed. Still, overall, I’ve gotten a lot out of it.
